Liquor store owners in Minnesota must have recognized the sales bump received by their Colorado colleagues after authorizing Sunday spirits sales in time for the political convention. 

Store owners in Minnesota missed out on the extra business.  Minnesota remains one of 15 states that bans Sunday spirits sales.

A recent letter in the Birmingham News notes that in Prohibition’s first year, Alabama became the leading state in the country in the number of illegal moonshine stills found.
